Wills
We actively encourage our clients to make Wills. We believe it is a responsible and mature act and our clients tell us that they are less anxious and that having made their Wills are much relieved once they put their affairs in order. We try to make the process as straightforward and as simple as possible.
The following are a sample of the general types of Wills made
Powers of Attorney
We recommend our clients over the age of eighty or any client prompted by their Medical Advisors to make an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA). An EPA deals with the situation where a person becomes permanently mentally incapacitated. It enables the appointment of Attorneys to act on our client’s behalf if this happens rather than being made a Ward of Court.
Road Traffic Accidents
Most Personal Injury claims arising from road traffic accidents go before The Personal Injuries Assessment Board. We fund our client’s Application to the Board including the Medical Report Fee. Applications take a year to be assessed and the assessment can be accepted or rejected by the injured party or the Insurance Company. If the assessment is rejected the claim goes through the court process and our fees for this work are paid by the Insurance Company.
Conveyancing
Joe Clancy, Michael O’Neill, Annemarie Keenan and Antoinette Jameson make up the Conveyancing Team in our office. Our aim is to help clients through the process of purchasing or selling in an as efficient and reliable manner as possible. Our role is to ensure that proper Title (ownership) is obtained.
Buying Property
When a client is purchasing they will agree a price with the Selling Agent who will then look for a Booking deposit. Once the Booking Deposit is paid the client will be asked to nominate a solicitor to act in the purchase. If you are thinking of purchasing we would advise that you contact our offices prior to making an offer so that we can give general advice without any obligation.
Selling Proprerty
We strongly advise our clients to contact us immediately if they are considering selling a property. We can offer general advice in regard to local agents, the vast majority of which we have a good working relationship with.
