Joe Clancy, Michael O’Neill, Annemarie Keenan and Antoinette Jameson make up the Conveyancing Team in our office. Our aim is to help clients through the process of purchasing or selling in an as efficient and reliable manner as possible. Our role is to ensure that proper Title (ownership) is obtained. The maxim “Caveat Emptor” (buyer beware) applies to property purchases i.e. you are assumed to know the condition of the property and if you sign a Contract you cannot renege or seek a reduction in price if you find that there is a problem later. We would therefore advise our clients to have a professional survey carried out before purchasing and to thoroughly check out the area, including planning proposals, neighbours, management companies for apartments, radon and septic tanks when purchasing holiday homes, radon and septic tanks.
